We are on the lookout for an Afternoon Shift Maintenance Fitter for a permanent job opportunity based in West Auckland.
JOB HOURS: 2PM - 10:30PM
ABOUT THE ROLE
Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and other plant machinery.
Fabrication and welding tasks as needed (basic MIG/TIG preferred).
Install new equipment and assist in machine upgrades or factory modifications.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Level 4 Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
3–5 years of on-site experience as a Maintenance Fitter, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent fault-finding skills
Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
