We’re on the lookout for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client based on a pig farm in near Te Awamutu. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical background who can keep essential farm systems running smoothly and respond quickly when issues arise.
Location: near Te Awamutu
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $32–$36 per hour (paid weekly)

- Maintaining and repairing feeding, watering, ventilation, and waste systems
- Servicing farm machinery, pumps, and generators
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults
- Carrying out building and pen repairs
- Following preventative maintenance schedules
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to protect animal welfare
- Ensuring health & safety and biosecurity compliance
- Strong mechanical background
- General welding and repair skills
- Electrical experience (a big bonus)
- Previous plumbing experience (beneficial)
- Ability to work independently and manage maintenance priorities
