Tradestaff are on the hunt for a Mechanical Engineer site supervisor for our Tawa based client!
In this role you will be working as part of a cohesive team, attending breakdowns, fabrication, and welding, breaking down and rebuilding machinery and regularly swapping out facility components throughout the day. This role runs on a 0730-1630 work day Mon-Fri with the option of overtime on weekends.
As a senior member of the team you would be responsible for overseeing the work done by the team in the workshop, managing and organising contractors/labour as needed within the workshop and any other adhoc responsibilities as directed by the management team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Mechanical Engineering industry, preferably in a similar setting.

- Welding – TiG/MiG/Arc
- Workshop machinery including; lathe, milling, plasma cutter, drill press
- Attention to detail
- High level of H&S awareness
- Mechanically minded or educated
- Previous experience is necessary for this role
