Mechanic

Auto Mechanic – Central Otago

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Auto Mechanic to join a busy workshop. This role offers variety, with work ranging from small cars to vans, petrol to diesel, and both manual and automatic transmissions. If you’ve got solid mechanical experience and you're based in the area, we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Repair/replace components (brakes, sensors, engine parts)
• Perform engine tune-ups, overhauls, and replacements
• Repair electrical systems, including wiring and control modules
• Maintain and repair brake, steering, and suspension systems
• Perform routine services (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks)
• Follow scheduled maintenance procedures
• Communicate repair needs to customers
• Maintain clean workspaces and service records

What we’re looking for:

• Proven mechanical experience (qualification preferred, overseas OK)
• Current driver’s licence
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Long-term commitment — must be based in or staying in the Central Otago area
