Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay are on the hunt for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join one of our valued clients.
This is a hands-on role servicing and repairing fleet vehicles, trucks, and heavy machinery in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Location: Hastings
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: Competitive hourly rate + depends on expirience (paid weekly)
You’ll be responsible for:

• Servicing and maintaining fleet vehicles, trucks, and heavy machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
• Performing preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Ensuring accurate service and repair records are kept

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Trade qualification in Automotive or Heavy Diesel Mechanics (or equivalent experience)
• Solid mechanical skills with strong problem-solving ability
• Current NZ Driver’s Licence (Class 2 or higher an advantage)
• Positive attitude and strong focus on safe work practices
