The RoleAs our new Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be the bridge between conceptual problem-solving and physical execution. You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day—you’ll be hands-on, collaborating with our workshop team to ensure every weld, bolt, and hydraulic line is perfect.
Your day-to-day will involve:

• End-to-End Design: Taking complex briefs and turning them into high-precision 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Innovation: Troubleshooting existing plant issues and designing bespoke upgrades that improve efficiency and safety.
• Project Leadership: Managing the technical lifecycle of projects, ensuring they meet NZ standards and rigorous internal quality benchmarks.
• Collaboration: Working closely with a skilled team of fabricators and machinists to bring your visions to life.

What You’ll Bring

• The Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred).
• The Brain: A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and a deep understanding of heavy fabrication, hydraulics, and materials.
