Sheet Metal Engineer

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Sheetmetal Engineer to join a busy team in Hastings. This is a hands-on role working on a solid 6-week project, with the potential to keep going for the right person. If you’ve got strong fabrication skills and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you.

Location: Hastings, Hawke’s Bay
Start date: Late April
Pay rate: $32–$38 per hour (paid weekly)
What you’ll be doing:

• Fabricating sheet metal components to specification
• Reading and interpreting technical plans and drawings
• Welding and assembling parts
• Installation work on-site as required
• Operating sheet metal machinery safely and efficiently

What we’re looking for:

• Mid to senior level sheet metal experience
• Confident reading and interpreting plans
• Own tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
• Full driver’s licence and own transport
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
