Foreman Carpenter Wanted
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Foreman Carpenter to lead from the front on commercial projects in Hamilton.

Pay rate: Dependent on experience (weekly pay)

The Role:

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise carpenters and labourers on-site
- Allocate daily tasks and drive productivity
- Mentor apprentices and junior team members
- Coordinate with site managers, project managers, and other trades
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Carry out and oversee formwork, framing, finishing, and installations
- Enforce health & safety standards, run toolbox talks, and manage site risks
- Monitor quality and ensure all work meets commercial construction standards
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment
- Track progress, report issues, and keep accurate site records
- Keep projects on schedule and adjust workflows as needed
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven commercial carpentry experience
- Ability to read plans and manage site workflow effectively
- Confident problem-solving and decision-making on-site
- Solid understanding of NZ building codes and health & safety practices
- Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
