We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Builder / Construction Manager to lead the on-site delivery of multi-unit residential developments in Tauranga. This is a permanent leadership role focused on execution excellence — building, leading people, managing site operations, and delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget.
Location: Tauranga
Start date: End of March
Pay rate: $140,000–$180,000 per year
You’ll take ownership of 20–30+ unit townhouse and multi-unit residential projects, managing site activity from groundworks through to practical completion.

This role focuses purely on delivery. Procurement, supplier negotiations, and commercial pricing remain in-house. Your focus is building, people, programme, and execution.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day construction of multi-unit residential projects
- Managing site operations from start to completion
- Coordinating and supervising trades and subcontractors
- Driving programme delivery and tracking daily/weekly progress
- Maintaining strict Health & Safety standards
- Ensuring compliance with approved plans, NZ Building Code, and consent conditions
- Managing inspections, quality control, and defect resolution
- Providing clear progress reporting to senior management

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 15+ years building experience
- Proven delivery of multi-unit residential projects
- Strong leadership experience managing multiple trades
- Deep knowledge of NZ construction practices and regulations
- Ability to manage programme, cost, and quality simultaneously
- Calm, solutions-focused leadership style
