We are looking for an
experienced Yardman / Machine Operator to join our team for an exciting construction project in
South Auckland. If you're skilled in operating a range of machinery and enjoy supporting a variety of tasks on-site, this is the role for you!
In this position, you'll be responsible for operating a
Telehandler,
Excavator,
Loader, and
Small Tipper Truck, as well as assisting with general yard operations. A
Class 2 WTR license is required, with
F endorsement preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a variety of machines including Telehandlers, Excavators, Loaders, and Small Tipper Trucks across the site.
- Material Handling & Yard Support: Help move, lift, and position materials in the yard and on-site, ensuring all operations run smoothly and safely.
- Site Preparation & Maintenance: Assist with site preparation by positioning materials and equipment as required. Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of machinery to ensure everything is in top working order.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and site regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Use PPE as required and maintain high safety standards for all machinery.
- Job Sheets & Communication: Complete daily job sheets using tablets and maintain communication with the team via RT (Radio Telephones) for efficient site coordination.
What We're Looking For:- Class 2 WTR License (Class F endorsement is preferable)
- Hands-on experience operating Telehandlers, Excavators, Loaders, and Small Tipper Trucks
- Previous experience in yard operations or general site support
- Ability to provide 2 work references
- Must pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
- Basic understanding of using tablets and RT communication systems
