Traffic Management Operative (TMO)
We’re on the lookout for experienced Traffic Management Operatives to join our team in Hamilton. If you’ve got your TMO ticket, enjoy working outdoors, and are happy to get stuck in with hands-on work, this is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work across a variety of sites.
Location: Frankton, Hamilton
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $26–$28 per hour depending on experience (paid weekly)

Pay rate: $26–$28 per hour depending on experience (paid weekly)
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up traffic management sites including cones, signs, and barriers
- Following Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) to ensure safe site setup
- Directing and controlling traffic flow safely around worksites
- Monitoring site safety, traffic behaviour, and pedestrian movement
- Adjusting traffic management layouts as needed
- Checking and maintaining traffic management equipment
- Packing down sites and ensuring roads are left safe and clear
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and NZTA standards
- Current TMO ticket with proven experience
- Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Physically fit and able to work long hours outdoors
- Willingness to assist with civil labouring when required
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Must pass regular drug and alcohol testing
