GPS Excavator Operator

Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Start date: To be confirmed
Pay rate: $32–38 per hour (paid weekly)

We’re looking for an experienced GPS Excavator Operator to join a busy civil team in Tauranga. You’ll be operating GPS-equipped machinery to carry out trenching, drainage installation, and site prep — all while working closely with site crews and supervisors to keep things running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate GPS-equipped excavators for trenching, drainage, and earthworks
• Use in-cab GPS systems to follow site plans and achieve precision grades
• Read and interpret plans to meet depth, slope, and alignment specifications
• Carry out daily pre-start checks and ensure GPS equipment is accurate
• Perform basic servicing and upkeep of equipment
• Work safely and efficiently alongside other crew members
• Report any faults or GPS issues to supervisors promptly

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience operating GPS-equipped excavators
• WTR endorsement
• Class 2–4 driver licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Clean criminal history
