WORKING FOREMAN – COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION (HASTINGS)
Long-Term Temporary Position | Established Construction Firm
We are seeking an experienced Working Foreman for a long-term temporary role on a major commercial construction project in Hastings. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who leads from the front while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and site performance.
About the Role: As Working Foreman, you will oversee daily site operations, supervise crews, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high commercial standard. You will work closely with Site Management to keep the project running on schedule and within compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising site crews and subcontractors
• Hands-on involvement in commercial construction activities
• Monitoring Health & Safety compliance and site standards
• Completing H&S reporting, toolbox talks, audits, and documentation
• Ensuring all work meets NZ compliance requirements
• Coordinating materials, equipment, and daily workflow
• Maintaining productivity, quality control, and site organisation

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 8 years’ commercial construction experience
• Proven background as a Working Foreman or Leading Hand
• Strong experience in H&S monitoring, reporting & compliance
• Solid working knowledge of DOKA formwork systems (essential)
• Confident team leader with clear communication skills
• Reliable, organised, and solution-focused
• Strong understanding of commercial project timelines
