Civil Drainage ForemanTradestaff is seeking an experienced Civil Drainage Foreman to lead a crew across a range of civil infrastructure projects throughout the Waikato region.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone confident running drainage crews, reading plans, setting out works, and delivering projects safely and efficiently.
About the RoleYou’ll oversee day-to-day site operations on drainage projects, ensuring work is completed to specification, on time, and to a high standard.
You’ll lead from the front — coordinating labour, machinery, and materials while maintaining strong health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead drainage crews on civil sites
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Set out works and manage levels
- Oversee installation of stormwater, wastewater, and watermain systems
- Coordinate plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures
- Communicate effectively with project managers and site teams
- Maintain productivity and quality standards
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in civil drainage
- Previous Foreman or Leading Hand experience
- Strong knowledge of stormwater, sewer, and watermain installation
- Confident reading and interpreting civil plans
- Solid understanding of civil site health & safety requirements
- WTR endorsements advantageous
- Level 5 certification and PGBD registration
- Strong leadership and communication skills
