We have an immediate vacancy for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to work in Dunedin city.
This role is open to applicants who are not located in Dunedin but you must be in NZ and have NZ work experience to be eligible for this role.
The work consists of repair, servicing and maintenance work on a range of vehicles, trailers and machines mainly UD and Hyundai Trucks. Duties range from servicing to clutches/gearboxes/diffs and engine rebuilds.
These role is a role for a talented mechanic who is looking for long term work.

About you
- Qualified Diesel mechanic with 3 years experience or 5 years experience in heavy diesel
- Diagnosis & Repair: Use diagnostic software and physical inspection to find faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and electrical systems.
- Gets along well with work mates, ability to team up to complete deadlines
- Perform preventative maintenance like oil changes, fluid checks, and tune-ups, and conduct major repairs or rebuilds of components.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble major parts, including engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct test drives and system tests to ensure proper performance after repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of services, parts used, and repair plans, often communicating with operators and clients.
- Safety & Standards: Adhere to workshop procedures, safety regulations, and maintain a clean work environmen
- Class 2,4 or 5 drivers license (Desirable)
