Excavator Operator

Tradestaff is seeking experienced Civil Machine Operators for a range of projects kicking off in January 2026. Our clients are delivering key infrastructure and civil construction works across Wellington and Lower Hutt and need skilled operators to help drive these projects forward.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current WTR endorsement (required)
• Hands-on operating experience on excavators and loaders (minimum requirement)
• Experience on additional machinery (rollers, skid steers, dumpers, etc.) is advantageous
• Good understanding of civil construction environments and safety standards
• Ability to work well within a team and follow clear instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of representing Tradestaff professionally
• Must pass a drug test and hold a clean MOJ record

About the Work:

• Operating machinery on varied civil construction sites
• Earthworks, trenching, site prep, material handling and general operator duties
• Working across multiple project sites in Wellington and Lower Hutt
• Maintaining machinery to a high standard and completing daily checks
• Supporting site crews to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery
