We’re on the lookout for an experienced Civil Foreman to lead drainage crews across a variety of civil projects in Hamilton.
If you’re a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this is a great opportunity to step into a key role on site.

Location: Hamilton
Start date: Negotiable
Pay rate: $38–$44 depending on experience (paid weekly)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supervising drainage crews across residential, commercial, and large-scale civil projects
  • Reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and set-out data to ensure works meet design and council standards
  • Overseeing installation of drainage systems including PVC, HDPE, and concrete pipelines
  • Managing construction of manholes, risers, pump stations, catch pits, and related infrastructure
  • Supervising deep drainage works including trenching, shoring, and confined space work
  • Planning daily workloads, coordinating labour, plant, and materials to meet deadlines
  • Directing machine operators to ensure correct levels, fall, and alignment
  • Using laser levels and grade control systems to maintain accuracy
  • Managing dewatering and maintaining safe site conditions
  • Coordinating with engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and subcontractors
  • Leading health & safety practices including toolbox talks, pre-starts, and hazard management
  • Ensuring QA standards are met, including testing and as-built documentation
  • Mentoring junior team members and maintaining strong site productivity
What we’re looking for:
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in civil drainage, with proven leadership on site
  • Strong knowledge of drainage systems and civil construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Confident supervising crews and coordinating site activities
  • Qualified Drainlayer (highly advantageous)
  • Strong commitment to health & safety and quality workmanship
