Civil Foreman
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Civil Foreman to lead drainage crews across a variety of civil projects in Hamilton.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Civil Foreman to lead drainage crews across a variety of civil projects in Hamilton.

Pay rate: $38–$44 depending on experience (paid weekly)
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and supervising drainage crews across residential, commercial, and large-scale civil projects
- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and set-out data to ensure works meet design and council standards
- Overseeing installation of drainage systems including PVC, HDPE, and concrete pipelines
- Managing construction of manholes, risers, pump stations, catch pits, and related infrastructure
- Supervising deep drainage works including trenching, shoring, and confined space work
- Planning daily workloads, coordinating labour, plant, and materials to meet deadlines
- Directing machine operators to ensure correct levels, fall, and alignment
- Using laser levels and grade control systems to maintain accuracy
- Managing dewatering and maintaining safe site conditions
- Coordinating with engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Leading health & safety practices including toolbox talks, pre-starts, and hazard management
- Ensuring QA standards are met, including testing and as-built documentation
- Mentoring junior team members and maintaining strong site productivity
- 3–5+ years’ experience in civil drainage, with proven leadership on site
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems and civil construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Confident supervising crews and coordinating site activities
- Qualified Drainlayer (highly advantageous)
- Strong commitment to health & safety and quality workmanship
