We currently have a vacancy for a Wastewater Treatment Operator based in Whangamata to carry out operational and routine maintenance tasks, and mechanical repairs within the Thames/Coromandel contract.

· Nationally recognised Trade Qualifications, after qualifying period.
What you’ll do:
· Maintenance and repair of pipes, pumps, leaks, machines, blockages and pump stations.
· Preventative maintenance including refits and rebuilding of assets.
· Laboratory testing and data entry.
· Performance monitoring and improvements of treatment process.
· Monitoring, recording and altering Supervisory Control and
· Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.
· Act as a point of contact for customer requests for service.
· Appropriately respond to these in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if require.
· Coordinate and provide contractual reporting to the Client.
· Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary.
· Paperwork and filing where required.
What you’ll need:
· Class 1 Driver Licence essential although Class 2 Licence will be an advantage.
· Tertiary education in Science; Engineering (Mechanical) or computing an advantage.
· A strong process or mechanical background.
· A can-do attitude.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Good attention to detail.
· Ability to participate in an on-call roster.
· Great communication and organisational skills.
· Intermediate computer skills.
