We’re on the lookout for an experienced Traffic Management Planner to join our dedicated traffic services team. This role is perfect for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a passion for road safety, and the ability to turn complex site requirements into safe, compliant, and effective Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
If you enjoy working with a variety of projects, liaising with councils and contractors, and making sure worksites run smoothly and safely, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and submit site-specific TMPs using RapidPlan, ensuring compliance with NZGTTM (and CoPTTM where applicable).
  • Interpret engineering and site drawings to design safe and efficient traffic layouts.
  • Identify site-specific risks and integrate appropriate safety measures.
  • Coordinate with traffic crews, clients, and Road Controlling Authorities for approvals and implementation.
  • Review and update plans to reflect site audits, project changes, or feedback.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
What We’re Looking For Skills & Attributes:
  • Advanced RapidPlan skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of NZGTTM, CoPTTM, and related standards.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • TTM Planner Certification or STMS Qualification (required).
  • 2+ years’ experience in TTM planning, traffic control, or road construction.
  • Valid NZ driver’s licence.
  • (Desirable) Knowledge of council TMP systems (e.g., Submitica) and experience working with RCAs and utility providers.
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a supportive, skilled, and safety-focused team.
  • Work on a variety of projects across New Zealand.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and further training.
