Trade Assistant

We’re looking for a motivated Trade Assistant to support licensed electricians on-site in Dunedin. This is a short-term role kicking off mid-November and running through to Christmas — ideal for someone with practical skills and a keen attitude.

Location: Dunedin City
Start date: Short-term role from 10 Nov–Christmas.
Pay rate: $28-$30 per hour (depending on experience)
Your role will include:

• Assisting NZ Licensed Electricians on-site
• Skilled labouring and use of power tools
• Preparing work areas and reinstating materials
• Digging trenches and assisting with conduit/cable tray installs
• Supporting deliveries and material handling
• Working at heights (scissor lifts/ladders) under supervision
• General site clean-up and labouring duties

What we’re looking for:

• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Comfortable with power tools
• Previous experience in construction or electrical environments preferred
• Able to follow instructions and work safely on-site
• Basic hand tools ideal
