Tradestaff are on the hunt for 2x TIG Welders / Commercial Ducting Installers to join our clients West Auckland-based team. This role involves installing, and repairing commercial ducting systems, with a focus on HVAC, ventilation, and exhaust applications. In addition to ducting installation, you will also be involved in assisting with the fabrication and welding of galvanised / stainless steel sheet metals.
Duties may include, but not be limited to;
Ducting Installation: Install and connect a variety of ducting systems, including sheet metal, spiral, and insulated ductwork for HVAC, ventilation, and exhaust systems. Ensure ductwork is correctly aligned, sealed, and secured according to plans.
Fabrication & Welding Assistance: TIG and MIG welding galv, stainless, mild steel. Assist in the fabrication of stainless steel and other sheet metal components, including ducts, vent hoods, and air handling units.
Support the welding team with the preparation and welding of stainless steel sheet metal components, ensuring precision and quality.
System Assembly: Assist with the installation of air handling units, grilles, diffusers, louvers, dampers, and other components. Ensure proper connection of ductwork to HVAC systems, exhaust fans, and air handlers.
Site Safety & Preparation:Prepare the area for ducting installation and fabrication. Follow all health and safety procedures. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Maintenance & Repairs: Perform maintenance, and repairs of existing ducting systems. Conduct inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
MUST HAVE CURRENT EWP TICKET
Welder must have own TIG welding machine
Proven experience in ducting installation (commercial or residential), or relevant trade qualifications. Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ventilation, and associated ducting components. Familiarity with stainless steel fabrication, including welding and metalworking techniques.
