Tradestaff have a variety of rigging projects across Wellington with a demand for experienced riggers. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced riggers to work on a variety of projects from residential through to larger commercial structures.
 
 
We require riggers from all backgrounds that include, but are not limited to:

• Working with crane operators for signaling for loading and directing crane movements
• Slinging and rigging loads including structural steel and other heavy equipment
• Assembly and setting up of rigging gear including winches, ropes, pulleys and cables
• Attachment of slinging gear to hoisting equipment using clamps, hooks, bolts and knots

• Fitting and bolting tubes, support braces and components to form bases and build up scaffolding
• Assistance with measuring, cutting, bending and fixing wire mesh into concrete formwork

 
Ideally, you will be or have:

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience
• Trade qualifications and rigging tickets preferred however scope and length of rigging experience may substitute for the formal qualification
• Your own tools
• Own reliable transport
• At least 2 work references
• 100% commitment to Health & Safety
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Class 1 preferred but not essential
