Digger Operators – Civil / Slip Repair Work
Waikato and Coromandel Peninsula
We are looking for confident digger operators to join our team working across the Waikato region, including the Coromandel Peninsula. This work involves supporting civil crews repairing land slips, clearing material, and helping rebuild road edges and batters.
This is varied, hands on work where no two days are the same. You will be working as part of a crew to help keep roads open and safe across the region.
What we are looking for
• Confident operating excavators with smooth, precise machine control
• Experience working on steep ground, unstable terrain, and slip areas
• Ability to safely clear land slips and rebuild batters and road edges
• Good understanding of drainage and water management around slips
• Strong awareness of ground conditions and potential movement risks
• Experience working alongside traffic management on live roads
• Happy to work as part of a crew and help out with labouring when required
What you must have
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 or 4 preferred)
• WTR endorsement
• Good background in civil construction
• Two recent work references
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Willingness to complete a Ministry of Justice check
Preference will be given to candidates who are happy to stay away from home when required. Accommodation and a stay away allowance will be provided.
