Tradestaff is seeking skilled and safety-focused Dogman/Riggers to join our team working with established contractors on active worksites in Hastings.

Pay rate: $32–$40 per hour depending on experience – paid weekly
The Role
As a Dogman/Rigger, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations on site.
You’ll work closely with crane operators and site teams to manage loads safely and keep operations running smoothly.

You’ll work closely with crane operators and site teams to manage loads safely and keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely rig loads using slings, chains, or wires within working load limits
- Direct crane operators during lifting and placement operations
- Inspect lifting gear and ensure all equipment is correctly set up
- Communicate clearly with crane operators using signals or radio
- Maintain strong health and safety practices on site
- NZQA Unit Standard 3789 – Sling regular loads and communicate during crane operations
- Dogman ticket preferred
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) certification
- Proven experience with crane operations and rigging
- Strong commitment to site safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Immediate start available
- Work with established contractors across Hawke’s Bay
- Potential for ongoing work for the right people
