Residential Carpenter – Central Dunedin
Tradestaff has an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential carpenter to join a high-end construction team in Central Dunedin. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants consistent, meaningful work on well-organised sites.
About the Role
You’ll be part of a team working on a mix of new builds and high-end residential renovations, contributing to the construction of functional, safe, and visually appealing homes. A solid understanding of timber construction techniques, and concrete formwork will be key in this role.

About the Role
You’ll be part of a team working on a mix of new builds and high-end residential renovations, contributing to the construction of functional, safe, and visually appealing homes. A solid understanding of timber construction techniques, and concrete formwork will be key in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Framing, cladding, and finishing carpentry
- Reading and interpreting construction plans and specs
- Working with both timber and concrete materials
- Following NZ Building Code standards
- Maintaining high health and safety standards in line with WorkSafe NZ
- Collaborating with other trades and site managers to meet project milestones
- Potential On-going work starting ASAP
- Work with a respected Dunedin-based company with a strong forward workload
- Full PPE provided
- Varied, high-quality projects that use your full range of skills
- Is a trade-qualified carpenter (preferred)
- Has a full toolkit (or is close to it)
- Holds a full driver’s licence and has reliable transport
- Can demonstrate experience with timber and/or concrete formwork
- Understands and applies NZ Building Code and WorkSafe practices
- Has strong communication skills and works well with others
- Can provide two recent professional references
