One of our building clients is looking for experienced Carpenters or highly experienced Hammerhands (4+ years) to assist with a light commercial renovation project in Invercargill.
This role is working night shift, Sunday to Thursday, and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on building work in a busy construction environment.

What you’ll be doing
- General carpentry and building tasks on a light commercial renovation project
- Formwork and boxing/shuttering for concrete
- Laying building foundations and assisting with structural work
- Mixing and pouring concrete
- Installing plasterboard/drywall and flooring
- Roofing finishing and repairs to internal and external structures
- Assisting with scaffolding and working at heights when required
- Operating carpentry tools and equipment safely
- Working around plant and heavy machinery
- Maintaining safe and efficient work practices on site
- Qualified Carpenter or Hammerhand with at least 4 years’ experience
- Clean Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check required
- Full driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Site Safe
- Working at Heights and/or EWP tickets are advantageous
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on environment
- Ability to work night shift (6pm–6am, Sunday–Thursday)
- Strong focus on health and safety
- Weekly pay
- Consistent night shift hours (Sun–Thurs, 6pm–6am)
- Opportunity to work with an established Invercargill building company
- Varied commercial renovation work
- Project expected to run up to 6 months
