Operations assistant - Porirua yard

Porirua | Full-Time | Career Progression Opportunity

Our Porirua-based client is on the lookout for a responsible, self-driven Operations Assistant to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting the operations team with a mix of yard work, equipment handling, deliveries, and site support. If you enjoy practical work, staying active, and being part of a hardworking team, this could be the perfect fit.
About the Role: You’ll be involved in:

• Assisting with day-to-day operations
• Yard maintenance and general cleaning
• Basic repairs and maintenance of equipment
• Assisting with site set-ups
• Delivering pumps using a ute and trailer
• Forklift operation
• General physical duties including lifting and manual handling

What We’re Looking For:

• A responsible and reliable attitude
• Self-motivated with strong initiative
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Mechanical aptitude (basic repairs and maintenance skills preferred)
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
• Full driver’s licence (ability to tow a trailer is advantageous)
• Team player with a positive work ethic
