Admin / Front Desk

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, organised Admin / Front Desk professional to join a busy automotive workshop in Hastings.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
As the first point of contact, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for customers while keeping the front office running smoothly.
If you’re someone who remembers names, enjoys a chat, and has strong attention to detail, this could be the perfect role for you.

Location: Hastings, Hawke’s Bay
Start date: April
Pay rate: $26 – $28 per hour (paid weekly)

What you’ll be doing
  • Greeting customers and managing the front desk
  • Answering phone calls and booking vehicle services
  • Processing invoices and payments
  • General administration and data entry
  • Communicating with mechanics and customers about job progress
  • Keeping the front office organised and running smoothly
What we’re looking for
  • Previous administration or reception experience
  • Strong customer service skills and a welcoming personality
  • Excellent phone manner and communication skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office and booking systems)
  • Ability to multitask in a busy workshop environment
  • Good with numbers and attention to detail
  • Someone who enjoys working with people and fits into a team environment
  • High attention to customers – attentive, professional, and being able to get things done
