We are seeking reliable and hardworking Hammerhands to join our clients teams in Christchurch. We have a number of well-established construction firms that specialise in commercial and residential projects throughout Canterbury.

Responsibilities:

• Assist tradespeople with their tasks, such as carrying materials, cutting timber, and installing fixtures
• Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks as instructed
• Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Experience as a Hammerhand or similar role in the construction industry
• Knowledge of power tools and hand tools commonly used in construction
• Ability to read and interpret plans and diagrams
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is essential
• Must have own basic tools
