We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Welder/Fitter/Turner to join a busy team in Takanini. This role is hands-on and varied, combining welding, fitting, turning, and preventative maintenance work to keep plant machinery and equipment running smoothly.
Location: Takanini, Auckland
Start date: 6th October to (provision to go ongoing)
Pay rate: $32–35 per hour (paid weekly)

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery
- Dismantling, inspecting, and reassembling conveyors and rotating equipment
- Precision fitting, turning, and machining of components to tolerance
- Performing welding and fabrication repairs (TIG, MIG, Stick)
- Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing repairs
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Following maintenance schedules and completing service reports accurately
- Supporting and mentoring safe work practices in the team
- Proven experience in welding, fitting, and turning
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
- Knowledge of TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
