We’re looking for multiple experienced Fitters to join ongoing projects across Hastings and Napier. If you have a trade qualification, mechanical know-how, and a solid understanding of technical drawings, we want to hear from you.
Location: Hastings and Napier, Hawke’s Bay
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $32–40 per hour (paid weekly)
Your role will include:
• Assemble, install and maintain machinery and mechanical systems according to specifications and drawings
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery
• Complete fabrication to parts and components where necessary
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Test and calibrate machinery to ensure correct operation
• Collaborate with team members to resolve mechanical challenges
We’re looking for people with:
• New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering – Level 4 or a relevant fitter qualification.
• Experience in mechanical fitting and fabrication
• TIG welding experience (desirable)
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Your own engineering tools
