Fabricator Welder
Invercargill is seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join a busy workshop team in Invercargill Central. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident across both welding and fabrication, with the ability to produce high-quality work from drawings through to finished product.
Location: Invercargill Central, Invercargill
Start date: Immediate start – ASAP, flexible for the right candidate
Pay rate: $32–34 per hour (paid weekly)
The Role You’ll be working in a workshop-based environment on a range of projects from short-duration jobs through to longer-term builds.

Key responsibilities include:
- Welding and fabrication of metal components and structures
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Cutting, shaping, bending and forming metal
- Setting up and operating welding and metalworking equipment
- Preparing and cleaning materials prior to welding
- Assembling and fitting fabricated parts
- Inspecting completed welds and finished work for quality and accuracy
- Following all safety requirements and procedures
- Proven experience in MIG / TIG / ARC welding
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Experience with stainless steel, alloy and/or heavy fabrication
- Confidence using fabrication tools and workshop equipment
- Strong attention to quality and safety
- Reliable transport
- Ideally based in Invercargill
- Own tools considered a bonus
- Competitive hourly rate paid weekly
