About the Role You’ll be working on a variety of fabrication and welding projects, supporting both workshop and on-site work. Expect plenty of variety — from structural steel fabrication to custom builds and repairs.
Your day may include:
- MIG, TIG, and ARC welding
- Cutting, grinding, and shaping steel components
- Reading and interpreting drawings and fabrication plans
- Working with structural steel, mild steel, and occasionally stainless
- Carrying out repairs, maintenance, and modifications
- Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
Who We’re Looking For To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding
- Strong welding ability (MIG essential; TIG an advantage)
- Ability to read drawings and follow fabrication plans
- A solid understanding of workshop safety
- A reliable, hardworking attitude
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Welding tickets are a bonus — but not essential if you have the skills
