We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Class 4 Driver / Hydro Excavator to join a civil operations team based in Takanini. This role combines driving and hydro excavation work, supporting drainage, maintenance, and infrastructure projects across Auckland. You’ll need to be confident operating hydro-vac equipment and happy to travel to different sites as required.
Location: Takanini, Auckland (travel to varied sites across Auckland)
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $30–33 per hour (paid weekly)

Key duties:
- Safely drive and manoeuvre civil trucks for material and equipment transport
- Operate hydro-vacuum equipment for excavation and debris removal
- Perform flushing and cleaning of pipelines, sewers, and drainage systems
- Conduct CCTV drainage inspections to identify blockages or damage
- Carry out routine maintenance checks on trucks and machinery
- Prepare and set up job sites safely before operations
- Load and unload materials and equipment securely
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations and procedures
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and crew
- Respond to emergencies such as spills or equipment issues promptly
- Full NZ Class 4 licence (minimum 4 years’ experience)
- DG endorsement valid for at least 1 year
- Experience with vacuum loading / hydro excavation
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic trucks
- Basic mechanical understanding
- Confined space training (preferred but not essential)
- Physically fit and able to climb ladders
- Flexibility to travel for work (travel allowance provided)
