Class 2 Manual Driver
We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Class 2 Manual Driver to join a busy hire company based in Takanini.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role supporting construction and event sites across the greater Auckland area, delivering and removing temporary fencing and portable toilet units.
A strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and reliability are essential.
Location: Takanini, Auckland (sites across greater Auckland – Orewa to Pōkeno)
Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: $28.00–$32.00 per hour (paid weekly)
About the role This role involves driving manual vehicles and regular manual labour.
You’ll be actively involved in loading, unloading, setting up, and removing hire equipment on site — this is not just a driving role.

Key duties include:
- Driving Class 2 manual trucks (Class 1 manual drivers also considered)
- Manual handling involved in delivering, setting up, and dismantling temporary fencing
- Delivering, positioning, and removing portable toilet units
- Loading and unloading equipment safely and efficiently
- Completing daily pre-start checks and routine vehicle inspections
- Ensuring loads are secured correctly during transport
- Completing driver logbooks and required paperwork
- Assisting with general labouring and customer interaction as required
- Full NZ Class 2 manual licence (or Class 1 manual drivers considered)
- Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles
- Physically fit and capable of regular hands-on manual work
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Ability to complete logbooks and follow NZTA requirements
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to take initiative on site
- Reliable and punctual — this is an absolute must
- Willingness to get stuck in and support the team wherever needed
