We’re on the lookout for experienced Civil Carpenters to join a major project in central Dunedin. This is your chance to be part of one of the city’s most iconic builds, working on specialised piling and civil works alongside a skilled crew.
Location: Central Dunedin
Start date: Mid April
Pay rate: $30–$35 per hour (weekly pay)

The role: You’ll be working on a large-scale civil project, supporting piling operations and carrying out a range of carpentry and site-based tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with piling operations on site
- Working safely around cranes and piling rigs
- Formwork and boxing for civil structures
- Operating and monitoring pumps and dewatering systems
- Carrying out general civil carpentry duties
- Supporting site setup, maintenance, and pack-down
- Maintaining a high standard of health & safety on site
- Proven experience in civil construction or geotechnical environments
- Carpentry experience, particularly formwork and boxing
- Experience working around heavy machinery (cranes, piling rigs)
- Confidence working with pumps and dewatering systems
- Ability to work effectively on large, active construction sites
- Site Safe passport (preferred)
- Dogman ticket (advantageous but not essential)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Be part of one of Dunedin’s most iconic construction projects
- Consistent hours – Monday to Friday, 10-hour days
- Competitive pay with weekly wages
- Opportunity for ongoing work with other subcontractors after project completion
