STMS A/B Practicing

STMS Class A/B – Hamilton
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable STMS (Class A/B Practicing) to join a hardworking team in Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise temporary traffic management (TTM) worksites on Category A/B roads
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety legislation
• Manage traffic flow and maintain site safety
• Supervise TTM crews and conduct pre-start meetings and inductions
• Complete accurate site records and documentation
• Identify hazards and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies
• Make operational decisions, including postponing work if necessary for safety

Role Requirements:

• Current STMS Qualification with Category A and B practicing.
• Full, clean New Zealand Class 2 Driver's Licence
• Proven experience in the traffic industry
• Experience mentoring and supervising crews
• A strong focus on safety — for yourself, your team, and the public
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Honest, reliable, and adaptable to changing site conditions
