We’re on the lookout for a Skilled Hammer Hand who knows their way around a worksite and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. If you’ve got solid carpentry experience, an eye for detail, and want to be part of a hardworking Rotorua team — this is your chance.
🔨 About the Role This isn’t just another site job — we’re after someone who can jump in and get things done. You’ll be assisting qualified builders on a variety of projects across Rotorua and the Bay of Plenty, including new builds, renovations, and light commercial work.

- Reading and interpreting building plans
- Measuring, cutting, framing, and assembling timber structures
- Installing fittings and fixtures
- Working with hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Helping maintain a clean, productive, and safe site
- Taking initiative and showing leadership when needed
👷‍♂️ What We’re Looking For We want someone who takes pride in their trade and gets along well with others on-site.
You’ll need:
- 2+ years of carpentry or Hammer Hand experience
- Strong understanding of building practices and site safety
- Site Safe ticket (or willingness to get one)
- Your own basic tools and reliable transport
- A can-do attitude and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a tight-knit team
