A promising opportunity has arisen for a Service Foreman to work for a leading global heavy trucking group, operating in the Wellington Region.

In this position you will play a pivotal role in the leadership team in this heavy trucking environment,
overseeing a strong team of dedicated diesel technicians in the workshop alongside playing a part in the on-going maintenance repair and on-going growth of the well-known global brand.

Leading by example with your customer service/supplier interactions and running the team on the floor, you will be a person of your word and someone your team will look up to, with strong mechanical and hydraulics experience, excellent organisational skills you will be able to wear a few hats at once.
In this role, your main responsibilities would be ensuring you deliver excellent customer service to all clients,
maintain a high-quality technical knowledge of the industry, be able to provide accurate technical advice to clients and the team alike whilst monitoring & controlling all repairs with operational excellence, as well as supervising the whole service department.

The minimum hours for this role would be 45 hours per week, to be worked between 08.00am – 05.00pm, Monday- Friday and every second Saturday 07.00am – 12.00pm.

For this role you will require the following:

  • Trade qualification - “National Certificate in the Motor Industry” (Automotive Heavy Engineering – Road Transport) or its equivalent
  • Demonstrable evidence of in-depth technical knowledge
  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to relate and communicate at multiple levels via multiple mediums
  • Must be able to work and contribute to a team environment where combined effort contributes to the overall success of the team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Strong time management skills: specifically, the ability to prioritise and work to multiple deadlines
  • Hold current Drivers License Classes 2 – 5 (or be prepared to commit to obtaining)
