Job Title: Experienced Welder

Location: Primarily Christchurch, with occasional travel to Blenheim and Invercargill

Contract Duration: Estimated 4 Months (subject to change)

Pay Range: $46 - $56 per hour (Contract rate; wage opportunities available upon request)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our team for an estimated 4-month project. This role is essential in supporting a refrigeration installation team with extensive pipe preparation work and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety protocols at various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding & Pipe Preparation: Execute high-quality welding and pipe preparation tasks to support refrigeration installation projects.
• Certification: Demonstrate the ability to pass relevant welding certifications.
• Health & Safety: Adhere to and enforce Health and Safety protocols at each site.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other tradespeople and team members to achieve project goals.
• Travel: Work primarily in Christchurch with required travel to Blenheim and Invercargill.
• Work Hours: Commit to long days (10-12 hours) with a schedule of 7 days on and 4 days off.

Requirements:

• Experience: Extensive experience as a welder, with a proven track record in similar projects.
• Certification: Ability to pass necessary welding certifications.
• Fitter/Welder Qualification: Beneficial but not required.
• Self-Motivation: Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Team Player: Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required.
