Project Manager

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead complex civil construction projects in a rural area just outside of Gisborne.
You’ll be responsible for managing infrastructure builds from start to finish—delivering them on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to future project wins.

Location: Rural area outside of Gisborne
Start date: End of February
Pay rate: $120K+ per year

Your role will include:

• Developing and managing detailed project plans
• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing solutions
• Reporting to senior management and clients
• Ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are met
• Supporting the tendering and proposal process
• Leading and mentoring junior project staff

We’re looking for someone with:

• A degree or equivalent in civil engineering or project management
• 5+ years’ experience delivering civil infrastructure projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with project management software
• Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, risk management, and contracts
