Mining Laboratory Labourers Required

We have Labouring positions to fill for our client which processes rock samples in a laboratory at Mcraes mine inland from Palmerston.
They are strictly general labouring positions.

Benefits:

• $26 p/h
• Guaranteed 48 hours per rotation - all breaks paid (90 min per day)
• Time and 1/2 for extra shifts

The job consists of:

• Putting rock (dust) samples through a series of processes.
• Using machines to crush samples.
• Bagging and tagging samples.
• Moving heavy trolleys loaded with trays of samples from A to B.
• Wearing full head cover breathing aparatus as is a dusty and noisy environment.

 Must haves:

• Pass a pre-employent drug and alcohol test
• Be flexible in work hours: These are 12 hour shifts from 05:30-17:30 or 17:30-05:30 (Bus transport from Dunedin leaves 1.5 hrs before shifts start)
• Ability to work a 4 day on, 4 day off roster with alternating day and night shifts.
