Maintenance and Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead one of our clients maintenance and engineering team, and ensure our factory operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Maintenance Fitters, Electricians, and Trades Assistants.
• Oversee engineering maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure prompt and effective breakdown response to minimise downtime.
• Manage property compliance (BWOFs, resource consents, audits).
• Support ISO, Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety compliance.
• Plan and supervise plant installations and modifications, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Effectively manage contractors and ensure site safety compliance.
• Develop and monitor annual maintenance budgets.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proven experience in engineering and maintenance management.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements (ISO, H&S, property regulations).
• Ability to balance day-to-day maintenance with long-term projects.
