Formwork Carpenters wanted
We’re looking for multiple experienced Carpenters to join two civil construction projects based in Waihi Beach and Whitianga. These roles are heavily focused on complex formwork for concrete and water-retaining structures, with an immediate start available on major infrastructure builds.
This opportunity may also suit carpenters interested in stay-away work who are comfortable travelling to site and pulling in with a van.

The role You’ll be working across large-scale civil and infrastructure projects, completing high-accuracy form work and supporting concrete operations. Key tasks include:
- Setting out, building, installing, stripping, and cleaning formwork for concrete structures
- Constructing formwork for slabs, walls, columns, beams, tanks, channels, pits, and reservoirs
- Using timber, plywood, steel, and proprietary systems such as Doka or Peri
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Installing rebates, chamfers, box-outs, penetrations, sleeves, and cast-in items
- Working closely with steel fixers and assisting during concrete pours
- Maintaining tight tolerances for water-retaining and water-resistant structures
What we’re looking for
- Solid formwork carpentry experience, ideally on civil or infrastructure projects
- Ability to accurately read and follow engineering drawings
- Site Safe (beneficial)
- Working at Heights certification
- Weekly pay
- On-site parking
