What You’ll Be Doing:
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Cut, shape & assemble metal using tools like presses, shears & grinders
- Weld in all positions using MIG, TIG, Stick, and Oxy-Acetylene
- Select proper materials and filler metals
- Fit-up and assemble parts with high precision
- Perform quality checks on welds and final products
- Collaborate with engineers & production teams
- Follow safety protocols and meet tight project deadlines
- Apply knowledge of NZ welding standards (AS/NZS 1554)
- Proven welding & fabrication experience
- NZ Certificate in Engineering – Fabrication (or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently and solve on-the-job challenges
- Solid understanding of safety, quality, and production standards
