Driver Class 5 (Asphalt Experience)

We’re looking for experienced Class 5 Drivers with asphalt experience to join a busy civil team in Hamilton. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who’s not afraid to jump out of the cab and support on-site paving operations when needed.

Location: Hamilton
Start date: Mid-January start available
Pay rate: $30–$34 per hour + 8% holiday pay

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving Class 5 truck & trailer to and from sites
• Assisting with asphalt paving operations
• Loading and unloading materials safely and accurately
• Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle at all times
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and site personnel
• Following all company policies and health & safety requirements
• Helping with other on-site duties as required

What we’re looking for:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Proven truck driving experience with a strong track record
• Previous civil or roading experience (preferred)
• Strong references from past civil industry employers
• Drug-free (pre-employment drug test required)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Passport or NZ birth certificate
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional night shifts every couple of weeks
