Digger Operator
We’re seeking an experienced Digger Operator to join a busy earthworks team working on a range of projects across the Christchurch region. This role suits someone confident on the controls, able to work independently, and committed to producing quality work. Strong trim experience is essential. Pay rate: $34–36 per hour (paid weekly)

Location: Christchurch region
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $34–36 per hour (paid weekly)
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating diggers on a variety of earthworks and civil projects
- Precision trimming to final levels (key part of the role)
- Trenching, site preparation, drainage, and general earthmoving
- Reading plans and working alongside supervisors and site crews
- Completing daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
- Operating machinery safely and efficiently at all times
- Assisting and supporting others on site when required
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience operating diggers
- Proven trim experience (essential)
- WTR endorsement
- Solid understanding of earthworks and civil environments
- 2 contactable operating references
- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach
- Reliable, safety-focused, and a positive attitude
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Available for an immediate start
- Competitive pay: $34–36 per hour, paid weekly
