Digger Operator
We’re looking for an experienced Digger Operator to join a small, well-established local earthworks company working across the Christchurch region. This role suits someone confident on the controls, capable of working independently, and happy to step up with leadership on site when required. Strong trim experience is essential for this position. Pay rate: $34–36 per hour (paid weekly)

What you’ll be doing:
- Operating diggers on a variety of earthworks projects
- Precision trimming to final levels (essential part of the role)
- Trenching, site preparation, drainage, and general earthmoving
- Working from plans and liaising with supervisors and crew
- Conducting daily pre-start checks and maintaining equipment
- Ensuring safe, efficient operation at all times
- Supporting and guiding others on site where required
- Minimum 3+ years’ digger operating experience
- Proven trim experience (must-have)
- WTR endorsement (essential)
- Strong understanding of earthworks and civil environments
- 2 contactable operating references
- Proven leadership ability and confidence working unsupervised
- Good attitude, reliability, and commitment to site safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ready to start immediately
- Excellent pay: $34–36 per hour depending on experience (paid weekly)
