Civil Operative Worker

Tradestaff Hawkes Bay is currently seeking Wairoa locals to join one of our clients in a large civil construction project. This is a long-term opportunity, with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
 
There are two roles available for this project. Pay rate will be depending on experience.
 
Role 1# Civil Labourer
 
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Physical, basic labour tasks as directed by the Site Foreman including wheelbarrowing, digging, cleaning, planting, landscaping etc
• Clean, tidy or prepare the job site & assist with removal of waste or hazardous materials
• Assist qualified tradespeople
• Use a variety of tools under appropriate supervision
• Perform all duties n a safe and efficient manner

 
 
Role #2 Civil Machine Operator
 
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Operating plant machinery such as dump trucks, excavators, graders and moxy’s
• Collaborating with the team to execute projects according to plans and specifications.
• Adhere to health and safety practices to create a secure working environment.
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks effectively.

Please note that you will be given 1 week training on a dump truck for this role.
 
 
Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers Operator (for Civil Machine Operator)
• A valid and up to date WTR endorsement (for Civil Machine Operator)
• Valid Class 2-4 license .
• Valid Visa (if applicable) or rights to work in New Zealand
• Willingness to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and best practices related to equipment operation.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks in a demanding outdoor environment.
