WOF Certified Diesel Mechanic

Tradestaff are seeking an experienced WOF Certified Diesel Mechanic to join us for a September start!

Requirements:

• WOF Certification: Essential for performing Warrant of Fitness inspections.
• Experience: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, specifically working on diesel engines and trucks.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and related components.
• Tools: Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment for diesel engines.
• Licensing: Full New Zealand driver's licence.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Work Ethic: Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Engine Diagnostics: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel engines in trucks.
• Repairs & Maintenance: Performing repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines and related components.
• Customer Service: Communicating effectively with customers to explain issues, repair options, and provide recommendations.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Compliance: Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Upkeep: Keeping the workshop clean and organised, and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
